The Distinguished Alumnus Award, presented annually at Carlson Leadership Academies, recognizes devoted and productive service to Sigma Phi Epsilon at the chapter, district, regional or on the national level for a minimum of five years. Since the award's inception in 1978, less than one percent of alumni have been recognized with this honor. These dedicated brothers play a vital role in pushing our chapters beyond their perceived limits.
Chapters, chapter counselors, Alumni and Volunteer Corporations and district governors may submit nominations to the National Board of Directors.
Nominations are due November 30, 2012.
A pewter Jefferson Cup is presented to each Distinguished Alumnus at the Carlson Leadership Academies in February. Recipients should be present at CLA to receive the award. In cases where the recipient is unable to be in attendance, the national headquarters will hold the award for the following year(s) or it can be presented during an appropriate event at the local level.
