Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Grants and Scholarships

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation is the vehicle for alumni, family, friends, and other like-minded organizations to build a legacy and change lives. We fund endeavors for "Building Balanced Men." We support environments that foster academic achievement, scholarships that encourage excellence, loans that enable the pursuit of a diploma, and educational programs that develop leadership and personal potential.

Current support provides funding for the following.

National Competition Scholarships

Each year the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation awards 20 scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to outstanding scholars and balanced men.  These men have distinguished themselves through accomplishments in the classroom, on campus, in the community, and in their chapters. With 15,000 men on campus and hundreds applying for this scholarship, this group truly represents the best of SigEp’s commitment to be a valued partner in higher education. | More

Thomas O. Hicks Scholarships

In funding these special scholarships, Brother Thomas O. Hicks recognizes and rewards brothers who get on track with their grades after a poor start to encourage SigEp undergraduates to achieve good academic performance while members of Sigma Phi Epsilon. | More

Study Abroad Scholarship

This scholarship fund was created by an anonymous donor with an appreciation for the lessons learned through study abroad. SigEp undergraduates currently studying abroad or formally accepted by their college or university to study abroad in 2013 are eligible to apply. | More

Scripps National Spelling Bee

The SigEp Educational Foundation has been a sponsor of the Scripps National Spelling Bee since 2007, providing a $5,000 scholarship to the winner each year. SigEp believes that when students improve their spelling, they increase their vocabularies, learn concepts and develop correct English usage that will help them all their lives. | More
