Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

J. Edward Zollinger
Outstanding Senior Award

The Zollinger Endowment recognizes the relationship of Sigma Phi Epsilon to the life of J. Edward Zollinger, William & Mary '27. Brother Zollinger was Sigma Phi Epsilon's Grand President from 1967-1971, and a Trustee of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation from 1962 until his death in 1976 at which time he was serving as Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

His wife Lucile, who died in 2001, was a regular Foundation donor. In 1990, she and her son John Zollinger, Lehigh '57, and daughter Frances made a $600,000 gift in honor of their beloved husband and father. In recognition of this gift, the Fraternity's Headquarters in Richmond, Va. was named Zollinger House.

The Zollinger family's lifetime giving to the Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation is significant and sustained, supporting important endeavors like these scholarships to recognize exceptional balanced men and to develop leadership potential.
