When are applications due?
All applications must be submitted online by November 26. Late applications will not be considered.
When will selections be made?
A list of finalists will be announced in January. All selected scholars will be recognized at their respective Carlson Leadership Academies (CLA) in February.
If I am a finalist but cannot attend my CLA when the scholarships are announced, am I still eligible?
Absolutely!
Who makes the selections?
The National Board of Directors appoints a task force comprised of past scholars and mentors. They review every application and select the top undergraduates from that list.
Who can apply and what are the criteria for selection?
Scholarships are available for the most deserving sophomore and junior brothers. The task force looks for well-rounded men, and although chapter leadership positions are important, no specific SigEp, campus, or community involvement is required.
Is there a cost to attend the program?
The Tragos Quest to Greece is partially funded by a grant from our Educational Foundation. Each scholar must arrange and cover the cost to and from Chicago (the origination of the program) as well as approximately $500 that will be needed while overseas for some meals and related expenses. All other expenses, however, are covered.
Who should I contact if I have additional questions?
If you have questions about the online application, contact Kristen Reid.
If you have questions about being a mentor, contact Sheehan Walker.
If you have general questions about the program, contact Stacy Nicodemus.
