Tragos Quest to Greece – Mentorship

Being a Tragos Quest to Greece mentor is not for the faint of heart.  You will wake up each morning before the undergraduate scholars and go to bed after them.  You will walk more, read more, study more and be challenged more.

You will work each day with SigEp’s best, who are used to doing everything at warp speed, and you are expected not just to keep up but to set the pace.  The challenge of serving as a mentor is exceeded only by the reward of watching SigEp’s top undergraduates experience the world and connect the dots between Greek culture and the Balanced Man Ideal.

Mentors serve as integral parts of the experience.  The mentors are not merely chaperones or tour guides; they are discussion leaders.  Mentors pull from their own life experiences to help undergraduates better understand the world around them.  They can also expect to learn just as much as the students.

All mentors are asked to pay a fee of $4,000 to help cover their travel costs. As a testament to the journey, the lucky few who go, beg to do it again.

Alumni interested in serving as a Quest mentor should complete the mentor application.  Email the completed application to Sheehan Walker or mail to his attention at 310 South Boulevard, Richmond, Va.  23220.

All mentor applications are due by December 31.  The Tragos Quest to Greece Task Force, appointed by the National Board of Directors, will make the mentor selections.
