LAST YEAR'S PROGRAM HELPED LEAD TO RECORD NUMBERS ACROSS THE COUNTRY
Last year, the Carlson Leadership Academy saw the addition of a new and innovative training program, focusing specifically on undergraduate recruitment skills and execution. The recruitment training track is separate from the vice president of recruitment sessions, and focuses more on core recruiting skills that any member in the chapter can use to build manpower. Each participant can expect interactive training on the six steps of recruitment, the Balanced Man Scholarship and the best techniques to contribute to his chapter’s success in the most important area of operations. Ideal attendees are:
- Balanced Man Scholarship chairs
- Recruitment chairs
- Recruitment cabinet/committee members
- Young, rising leaders in the chapter
Participants learn professional recruitment skills from the Fraternity's top recruitment experts, and chapters can build on the recruitment skills already established by the vice president of recruitment’s efforts. Members will learn how to teach their new skills to their chapter upon returning from CLA. SigEp volunteer Mike Repasky, Ohio State ’08, says that attendees can benefit in many ways. “I was fortunate enough to implement the recruitment training track at four CLA programs last year,” he said. “Each time, without fail, I saw groups of young men rapidly develop skills for recruitment that will serve them in any endeavor they pursue. Unlike recruitment workshops I had facilitated or attended in the past, the CLA recruitment training track was more engaging, more focused, and more effective. Every member has the opportunity to show up, leave the distractions back at campus, and dive headlong into recruitment skill building.”
The program is complete with take-home resources, real time practice and feedback, and goal-setting. Members will leave with everything they need to make an impact on their chapter and their campus. The program fee is $150, which includes the other CLA functions, like meals and breakout sessions.
Space in the recruitment track is limited, so sign up today.
