CHANGE WILL ENCOURAGE MORE COLLABORATION BETWEEN UNDERGRADUATES AND VOLUNTEERS
For the past few years, SigEp has emailed both the Officer Monthly and the Volunteer Monthly once per month during the academic year. Undergraduate executive board officers had been receiving the Officer Monthly, and registered Alumni and Volunteer Corporation members had been receiving both. Starting in November, we will combine these two publications into the Officer and Volunteer Monthly.
Why the change?
- Much of the information in these publications is the same or only slightly different. This allows us be more efficient in our emails to volunteers, without cluttering their inboxes.
- This move will help our undergraduates and volunteers collaborate more. Undergraduates will now see information and resources we’ve been sending to volunteers so that undergraduates can better understand how critical this partnership is for success. Our stories will be relevant to both groups and clearly outline undergraduate and volunteer roles in areas such as recruitment, member development, fiscal health and leadership development.
As always, our aim is to provide you with practical resources that will most help you run your chapter operations, along with best practices from high-performing chapters and reminders of upcoming deadlines. We will have a survey in December to ask for specific feedback about how to make this publication better, and you can always send feedback to communications@sigep.net.
