We all know recruitment is one of the most important—and often challenging—things a chapter must do. For some of us, it impacts our ability to fill a house or pay the bills. For all of us, it ensures that we have the highest caliber leaders to continue the success of our chapters. Across the country, the first month of the school year is a critical time to be competitive with the other fraternities on campus. So make sure an alumnus volunteer is committed to guiding the vice president of recruitment through the fall.
Why should you have a recruitment mentor?
Oftentimes the most effective volunteers are ones with specific job assignments. A volunteer who focuses solely on recruitment ensures that undergraduates have support utilizing critical tactics like a Balanced Man Scholarship and a potential new member list.
Who makes a good recruitment mentor?
Typically this can be a great role for a young volunteer looking to engage with the chapter. The best mentors have recruitment experience from their undergraduate days in the chapter and/or recruitment or sales experience professionally.
How can a recruitment mentor be effective?
