MORE SIGEPS WILL BE RECOGNIZED FOR ACADEMIC IMPROVEMENT AND STUDY ABROAD
The Sigma Phi Epsilon Epsilon Educational Foundation is now accepting applications for two scholarships: Thomas O. Hicks Scholarships Eligibility for 2011-12 Awards: Current SigEp juniors in good standing with their chapter; awarded for significant GPA improvement from freshman to sophomore year (transcripts required). Number of Scholarships: 6 (including at least one from the University of Texas) Award Amount: $2,000 each, payable to the recipient's school or his Alumni and Volunteer Corporation for room and board Deadline: Applications will be accepted through January 15, 2012 Apply for the Hicks Scholarship today. These scholarships are made possible by a generous endowment from Brother Thomas O. Hicks, Texas-Austin ’68. In funding these special scholarships, Brother Hicks recognizes and rewards undergraduate members who get on track with their academics after a poor start, with the additional goal of motivating all SigEp undergraduates to achieve good academic performance while a member of Sigma Phi Epsilon.
Study Abroad Scholarship Eligibility for 2011-12 Awards: SigEp undergraduates currently studying abroad or formally accepted by their college or university to study abroad in 2012 Number of Scholarships: 1 Award Amount: $1,000 payable to the student’s account at the college/university of the study abroad program, to be applied to program expenses and/or general tuition as appropriate Deadline: Applications will be accepted through January 15, 2012 Apply for the Study Abroad Scholarship today. This scholarship fund was created by an anonymous donor with an appreciation for the lessons learned in and out of the classroom through study abroad. Other donors may contribute to the fund.
