CLARION’S WEBSITE RECOGNIZED CODY RAPP, ’13, FOR RECEIVING SIGEP’S NATIONAL COMPETITION SCHOLARSHIP

In every Sound Bite, we run a positive press clip that mentions SigEp in a local news publication. This month we have an example from Clarion University’s website with a story about Cody Rapp, Clarion ’13, who received one of the National Competition Scholarships from SigEp’s Educational Foundation.

All chapters have the opportunity to influence their own local press coverage by being proactive. Local papers have published stories about Ruck Leadership Institute scholars, Tragos Quest to Greece participants and Balanced Man Scholarship winners.

Each vice president of communications will receive a list of local media contacts prior to their Carlson Leadership Academy. Think about what stories you’d like newspapers to write about your chapter, consider these guidelines, then use these contacts wisely.
