About the Quest

TempleHow did it start?

The Sigma Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation pioneered the program in May 2001, with six undergraduates participating in a 10-day exploration of Greece, not from a tourist point of view, but as an experiential journey that encompassed the sites of Greek history in culture. In addition, three SigEp alumni paid for the opportunity to accompany these undergraduates on the trip: a past Grand President, a National Director, and a former Regional Director.

In 2007 the 10-day Tragos Quest to Greece involved 16 undergraduate brothers, three alumni mentors, and a Renaissance Brother who also served as the Quest Professor.

The scholarship is open to all sophomore and junior Brothers in Sigma Phi Epsilon. Chapter involvement, campus involvement, and grade point average are taken into consideration. Demonstrated leadership and leadership potential are key factors.  Scholarships are awarded based on the recommendations of a selection committee appointed by the educational foundation.
