Promoting Academic Success

Every SigEp commits himself to seek the attainment of a college diploma as he goes through our Ritual.  Individual and chapter academic success happens only when brothers buy into the philosophical mindset that this Fraternity is more than just a social organization.  Chapters that actively promote academic success understand that the SigEp experience should be enhancing and enriching everything they are learning and doing inside of the classroom.  In order to do this, a chapter can use a variety of strategies, including:

•    High recruitment standards.
•    High standards for all brothers to maintain.
•    Mentorship programs pairing brothers of similar majors.
•    Quiet hours within the chapter house.
•    Academic incentive programs.
•    Faculty-led programs and study sessions.
•    Tapping into campus resources and making them available to all brothers.
