Six Steps of Recruitment

SigEp’s Six Steps of Recruitment are a proven start-to-finish approach to  finding, recruiting and closing the highest quality new members for your chapter. When chapters use this process correctly, they are guaranteed to see greater results.

1.    Build a potential new member list

A good rule of thumb is to build a potential new member list 10 times the size of your recruitment goal.

2.    Introduce yourself

Call all of your Balanced Man Scholarship applicants.  Have a firm handshake, eye contact and confidence when you meet somebody in person.

3.    Make a friend

Ask questions, find mutual interests and be interested, not interesting.

4.    Introduce to friends

Match up potential new members with brothers in the chapter who have similar interests, hobbies, come from the same town, root for the same football team, etc.

5.    Tell them about SigEp

Talk about the specific benefits that are relevant to that potential new member, don’t just give a blanket statement about SigEp.

6.    Ask them to join

All questions and objections should be covered before extending a bid.
