Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Vice president of programming

The vice president of programming is responsible for the planning and execution of the chapter’s events and functions. He is the head of the programming cabinet and works to ensure his brothers have a balanced, values-based experience.

The top priorities of the vice president of programming are to:

  • Appoint qualified members to the programming committee, including but not limited to an events chairman, intramural director and service learning chairman.
  • Manage and facilitate the chapter’s planning of a calendar for the year.
  • Ensure all risk management policies and procedures are followed at all times.
  • Act as the ritualistic vice president for the chapter.
  • Set and work to achieve SMART Goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely).

A great vice president of programming is not merely an event and party planner. He understands that parties and mixers are not the central focus of the Fraternity.  He has strong organizational skills and an ability to think creatively.  The vice president of programming enriches the chapter experience through philanthropy, community service and innovative programs. He understands how the chapter’s calendar impacts its ability to recruit new members and keep older chapter brothers engaged.  He can understand the needs of chapter members and program accordingly.

People that will assist or support the vice president of programming are:
