Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity

Vice president of recruitment

The vice president of recruitment drives the quantity and quality of a chapter’s membership.  By successfully recruiting the best men on campus, he ensures a great fraternity experience for his brothers and the long-term success of his chapter. It is up to the vice president of recruitment to organize and execute the process of year-round, values-based recruitment for his chapter.

The top priorities of the vice president of recruitment are to:

  • Align the chapter under a shared recruitment goal and vision.
  • Organize the recruitment committee and recruitment teams.
  • Oversee the implementation of the Balanced Man Scholarship.
  • Uphold high recruitment standards and criteria for membership.
  • Train chapter members on recruitment skills, including the Six Steps of Recruitment.
  • Set and work to achieve SMART Goals (specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and timely).

A great vice president of recruitment understands the importance of recruitment.  He is confident, well-spoken and can easily communicate the value of SigEp to all potential new members.  Most importantly, he is dedicated to finding and recruiting the best men to join the chapter. He also knows that this work is not over when “rush week” ends.

People that will assist or support the vice president of recruitment are:

  • AVC members
