Chapter Counselor

A Chapter Counselor serves each chapter to provide alumni guidance and continuity. While chapter officers change each year, and the entire chapter membership turns over every four years, the Chapter Counselor remains.

The Chapter Counselor strives to support the overall excellence of the chapter he serves. The Chapter Counselor may not necessarily be an alumnus from the chapter or a SigEp at all. The Chapter Counselor is a communicator. His work with the undergraduate chapter in all areas allows him to speak from a more informed perspective. He is a member of the Alumni & Volunteer Corporation (AVC) who understands the chapter’s perspective on issues.

The Headquarters staff looks to the counselor for a successful chapter; the AVC looks to the counselor for a well-managed chapter, and the chapter looks to the counselor for guidance and counseling. He is, indeed, the key man in Sigma Phi Epsilon.

Responsibilities

Ensure that semi-annual chapter assessments, goal-setting sessions, officer transitions, and chapter retreats are conducted.

  • Overall Direction
Provide the high level of continuity needed to help the chapter reach its long-term goals.
